After a chance encounter on Instagram in the summer of 2020, Ben and Ciara began exchanging messages and, a few weeks later, agreed to meet in Zürich. At the time, Ben was cycling 2,000 km from Paris to Venice with a friend, raising funds for the World Wildlife Fund’s Amazon Emergency Appeal.

From the very first moment, it felt like love at first sight. They spent three days swimming in Zürichsee, exploring the city, and realising how deeply aligned their Passion were. Together, they climbed Uetliberg overlooking Zürich, where they took their very first photo as a couple.

Shortly after descending the mountain that same year, Ben asked Ciara to be his girlfriend. Exactly five years later, returning to the city where they first met to celebrate their anniversary, they climbed Uetliberg once more and on the very spot of that first photograph, Ben asked Ciara to marry him.

And I was incredibly fortunate to capture this moment.
